Kasetsart University is accepting applications for 20 postdoctoral research grants for the fiscal year 2026. These grants will support research at Kasetsart University and provide a monthly stipend of 80,000 Thai baht ($2,450 USD) to postdoctoral researchers (health insurance and travel expenses will be covered for international postdoctoral researchers).
Interested applicants can submit application from now until August 29, 2026.
The grants will be awarded to recipients in two groups:
Group 1 consists of 10 high-potential researchers with at least 15 years of work experience or those who have previously received postdoctoral research grants from Kasetsart University.
Group 2 consists of 10 researchers who have never received a postdoctoral research grant from Kasetsart University.
Qualifications of a postdoctoral researcher:
- Aged no more than 50 years.
- Hold a doctoral degree.
- Not a staff member of Kasetsart University.
- This person is the first author (or corresponding author) of a research paper published in an academic journal.
- Can work full-time on research at Kasetsart University.
- Not currently receiving postdoctoral researcher funding from other sources, both domestic and international.
Procedures:
- After supplying your academic documents, your documents will undergo evaluation and verification in which you will be notified of the outcome and the decision as soon as possible. You will also be required to confirm when you will be ready to commence if you are eventually accepted..
- After processing your documents, a decision will be made on your application whether accepted or rejected. In the case you are admitted/accepted, you will then be provided with an Acceptance Letter.
- Under the Post-doc Fellowship/Research, Kasetsart University offers you a monthly allowance of 80,000 Thai Baht ($2,450 USD) and increases in the future. Your round-trip air fare, health insurance, accommodation, and Visa expenses will all be covered/paid by our university.
- Refundable fee requirement: At this point, a refundable preparation fee will be required from you as per our institutional policy to ensure you will be coming for your research program as scheduled; you will be require to send a refundable preparation fee of 65,400 Thai Baht ($2,000 USD) which will be refunded to you once you arrive at our university. This fee will make us assure that you will be coming as scheduled to enable us make the necessary arrangements, provisions, logistics and preparations for you and will refund you the fee upon your arrival.
- After your refundable preparation fee payment, we will send you a visa document and after obtaining your visa, we will purchase your flight ticket and send it to you.
Delivered work:
During their time as postdoctoral researchers under the supervision of the grantee, they must produce research publications in academic journals as follows:
- Science journals listed in the Scopus and Web of Science (SCI) databases that have an impact factor and are ranked according to the SJR (SCImago Journal Rank) in the 1st or 2nd quartile.
- In the social sciences, at least one journal article in the Scopus database, ranked according to the SJR (SCImago Journal Rank) in the 1st–4th quartile, is required.
